Quality sex education is important for making smart health choices. For adolescents to make good and safe decisions, it is imperative that they have reliable information.
When only 13 states require sex education to be medically accurate, a lot is left to interpret in teenage health literacy. Research published by the Public Library of Science shows that when sex education is comprehensive, students feel informed, make safer choices and have healthier outcomes.
