According to FEMA and 13 other government agencies, St. Louis is in danger if climate change issues are not immediately addressed. It is now time for the community to take charge. MSD has suggestions about what to do.
At the end of 2019, there were more working women than men. That changed with the April and May 2020 Jobs Reports that show that the brunt of job losses fell on women because they have a higher than normal propensity to work in the hospitality, hotel and restaurant industries.
According to a Stateline analysis by the University of Minnesota, single mothers have been hit hardest. In April 2020, single mothers with jobs was 22% lower than a year ago. When women lose jobs, households really do suffer. It pushes families closer to poverty and the monies lost take years to recoup.
